Snap-8 10mg peptide
Snap-8 10mg peptide: a research vial of Snap-8, an eight amino acid cosmetic ingredient (acetyl octapeptide-3); no PubMed study tests it alone, and two of the 3 papers Peptides Hanoi cites are on Argireline, the shorter peptide it extends.

What is Snap-8?
Snap-8 10mg is an eight amino acid cosmetic peptide. No study in PubMed tests Snap-8 on its own, so the research described below belongs to its parent, Argireline.
Its ingredient name is acetyl octapeptide-3. It extends Argireline, or acetyl hexapeptide-3, by two amino acids, keeping the same first six. That family tie comes from ingredient suppliers and reference pages, not PubMed.
Argireline itself is modelled on part of SNAP-25, a nerve protein that helps muscles receive the signal to tighten.
What research has looked at: its parent, Argireline
On Argireline, not Snap-8: a 2002 paper studied it in women over a month, measuring lines, and in the same paper tested Argireline on the tightening signal in the lab.
Again on Argireline: a placebo-controlled study in China in 2013 enrolled 60 people for four weeks and measured the skin around the eyes.
Only one PubMed paper names acetyl octapeptide-3. It tested a product that mixed several ingredients and had no comparison group, so it cannot speak for Snap-8 alone.

Reading the Snap-8 record
This page is careful about one thing above all: the human evidence is for Argireline, not Snap-8. The two share six amino acids, but Snap-8 has two more, and a longer peptide can behave differently.
The only paper that names the ingredient behind Snap-8 tested a product with several other ingredients and no comparison group. Anything it measured belongs to the whole product. So, in PubMed, Snap-8 itself remains untested on its own.
Both Argireline studies were short: 30 days in the 2002 paper and four weeks in the 2013 study. Acetyl octapeptide-3, the name Snap-8 is sold under, describes an eight amino acid peptide carrying an acetyl group.
Argireline itself is acetyl hexapeptide-3, a six amino acid peptide, so the hexa and octa in the two names count the amino acids.
Questions about Snap-8
Is there research on Snap-8 itself?
Not on its own. The single paper that names it tested a mixed product with no comparison group; the findings here belong to Argireline, its parent.
How is Snap-8 related to Argireline?
Snap-8 keeps Argireline's first six amino acids and adds two. That link comes from ingredient suppliers rather than a published study.
What is SNAP-25?
A nerve protein that helps muscles receive the signal to tighten; Argireline is modelled on part of it.
